Can you believe we are halfway through 2018 already?

Updated: Feb 9, 2022

What an incredible journey it's been so far.

With your support we’ve consistently presented sold-out performances of some of this country’s most legendary voices in soul music and entertainment to Raleigh-Durham, NC. We started the year by bringing joy to the Durham Performing Arts Center stage the with “Love and Laughter Comedy Tour” for Valentine’s Day. We followed this fun and uplifting performance with the sensational queen of rock and soul, Patti Labelle in March. If you’ve never seen her perform live, she is definitely one artist to add to your bucket list. Up next in April we brought one of the most iconic figures in American R&B to Durham, Detroit native son Smokie Robinson. He brought us classics such as his hit song “Cruisin” delivered with amazing tone and impeccable timing.

How do you begin to follow up those legendary shows? Easy! By continuing to present only the best talent. The month of May we were able to share two phenomenal concerts beginning with our Mother’s Day presentation of Maze feat. Frankie Beverly and ending with Brian McKnight with special guest Loose Ends a few weeks later. Finally, what an honor to be able to bring to our audience one of the few stops in the Anita Baker Farewell Concert series. From beginning to end the atmosphere for this show was electric, with the audience often singing along like a choir.
